The BEST bakery in SF! The Chocolate Banana Almond Croissant alone has to be one of the best pastries I've ever tried and that's coming from someone who isn't necessarily a sweets and pastries type of person. Often have long lines but it moves fairly quickly. Lots of street parking around. Give this place a try!

date visited: 07.2022 ordered: hazelnut cake, pistachio fruit tart, kouign amann, and chocolate au pain well worth the wait in my opinion! the pistachio fruit tart was actually my favorite thing, despite everything being amazing. the cream was decadent but light, and had a distinct nutty flavor that paired beautifully with the buttery crust and fresh berries. the kouign amann was also fantastic -- the exterior was flaky while the inside was buttery and stretchy. the chocolate was sweet but not too sweet and complimented the salty/rich croissant. the service is quick (line goes by fast) and there are decent seating options!

I came here for a snack after an appointment nearby. There was a line, but it moved by relatively quickly. I imagine that lines must be longer in the afternoon. Since they're known for their Kouign Amanns, I knew I had to try one. I went with the seasonal flavor, which was Mango Lychee ($5.25). +Pastry was crispy and flaky +Not too sweet -There wasn't a lot of filling, and it was hard to detect the lychee flavor As a pairing, I ordered a large Black Sesame Latte ($5.75) with a shot of espresso ($1.25). This drink doesn't come with any coffee, so if you're looking for a pick-me-up you'll need to add it. +Rich, black sesame flavor: Make sure you grab a spoon to stir as you drink because the sesame paste settles at the bottom. -As someone who usually orders boba at 25-50% sweetness, I wish this was sweeter. Perhaps this could be due to the addition of the coffee? *Verdict: 4.5 stars rounded up due to the service. Unlike other bakeries and cafes, they bring your drinks to you and clean up your dishes once you're done. I'd like to come back another time with family & friends to try more items!

THE best kouign-amann I have ever eaten. I have tried many other spots and nothing compares to the flaky, sweet, buttery taste of the ones here. Imagine a croissant but with a sugary top and caramelized bottom. Truly the star of the show! I always buy a whole box of these and add in a bostock (fluffy pastry) just for some variety. I keep coming back when I want to treat myself. Feels like a cute French cafe and the staff are speedy and friendly. You will not be disappointed and the kouign-amann toast super well in the toaster oven for the next few days. Parking is very rough in this area, but it's definitely worth it!
